Too Nice Dreams??

DReams were way too big,
They were just too nice;
A grave to bury them I digged,
They were fetching too high a price.

Looked down again and thought,
"Maybe I could keep just a part, a small slice';

What is your worth?

So how did you do for your recent test?
Managed to get your A's or was it another disappointing event in your life with no better than a D, S or even fail?

Remember your primary 4 streaming, the first time you went through your first selection exercise. Was it the maths, english or science exam you had to take to qualify for EM 1, 2 or 3?

Remember your sec 2 streaming when you sat through your exams and chose the subject combination you wanted to take. Isn't it interesting how the best ranked class happened to have almost all the top students while the other classes were classified as not so good?

You were ranked from sec 1 to sec 4 and even in Junior Colleges and Poly you were ranked with A's and B's and have your cumulative GPA da da da.. It's really not any different when you are university. The ranking still works. You have your degree of different honours and the Dean's list.

Is that our worth?

Maybe to make things much more easier to handle and calculate and sometimes just reduce human beings to numbers, those ranking do help in the working world. But is that how we are measured in God's Kingdom? Amazingly, the concept is reversed. The word of God says,

"For he who is least and lowliest among you all--he is [the one who is truly] great." Luke 9:48(AMP)

Our ranking with the classes do come with certain implications. People either expect a certain standard from us or we can be of worth no expectations at all. I personally have fallen short of lecturer's expectation and disappointment is obvious from their words. In these cases our worth is dependent on our rank/result.

But in cases where God is involved, our worth is not measured in those ways. Our worth is not measured at all!!! It is the worth of Christ on the cross! And that cant be measured.

If you're down, don't be. Remember your worth:D

If you're proud, don't be. Remember your righteousness in this world is like filthy rags. Remember only your worth in God.

No reception!!

"hello? HEllo? Cannot hear you! ... Really cannot hear you!"

Enter a lift and if you're talking on the phone, this the kind of response you will hear from yourself.

Was it because you didn't pay your handphone bills that you are getting no reception or is it because it is some lousy subscriber which you now deeply regret?

Maybe its the kind of phone that you are using. The battery runs out very fast or its antenna has poor receptivity to any kind of signal. Ah YA!! Who ask you not to buy the latest 3.5G phone!

"Why always like that?" You would grumble to yourself.

Lets try to relate this to your daily conversations and prayers to God; How come sometimes we feel that God ain't listening to our daily whines and cries? OR how is it that our prayers ain't getting answered? Let's look at what God's word says:

Gal 4:6 "And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His son into our hearts, crying, "Abba! Father!"" cross reference with Rom 8:15-26

John 14:13-14 " And whatever you ask in My name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask Me anything in My name, I will do it." cross reference with John 15:5 and Mark 11:23-26 and John 16:24

LEts establish the first things:

1. Your communication is eternally sealed. That means your service provider is the Holy Spirit and He will never go bankrupt or have lesser coverage on certain parts of the island or even underground

2. If you are angry or upset you must forgive the person or persons if you want your communication with God to be established.

3. All brands and types of model will receive the same premium connection plan offered by Holy Spirit. That means it doesn't matter who you are or what you say or do, it is God who is the ANSWERER to your prayers.

So why cannot hear?

Because you never pay attention!! *pulls your ear!* God will and always want to talk to us. We hardly give the time or we just talk and never give Him a chance to respond. You could try:

A. still yourself before prayer or reading the Word

B. pray in tongues if you can

C. thank God so that your mind focuses less on your problems and you and more on God.

Lets make lesser excuses that we have no or low reception with God because it is obviously not true. I pray that your communication with God will be a 24/7 thing where the miraculous activity of talking with God keeps going on and on and on! God speak to you:D:D

"The Love of many will grow cold..."

I am going to summarise that sentence into one word: Indifference

To find out what is the indifference towards, let's look at the passage from Matt 24: 4-14

"... (12)And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. But he who endures to the end shall be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come."

What 'love' is Jesus talking about?

It should be the attitude of love- Towards God and towards your fellow humans

If you read the passage before, you will realise that the "many" have been downtroded by the overwhelming lawlessness in the world. It is similar to saying " Why should I bother anymore?" or " What's the use?" or even "None of my business" or "No use one lor". I think its sounds familiar right?

If you have an indifference attitude towards life or the things of God, please admit it. Ask Holy Spirit to search your heart. Try not to ask Him to "change" your heart immediately. Most of the times it doesn't work! Ask Him why YOU are indifferent and then ask Him to settle the issues one by one.

Ask how did or how does the heart grow cold with regard to love

As Faithful as Gravity

Can someone tell me what is gravity?

To help you, here's a hint: its a force. What kind?

Remember 10m per second square?

Can someone also tell me when and where does gravity not work?

VACUUM!!

Some of you may have got it.. But where on earth is there a vacuum? NOWHERE!!

Therefore, there is nowhere on earth where gravity fails. It has never failed and will never fail!

You drop your specs, it will fall to the ground. You throw your handphone in the air and it will come down and if you don't catch it before it hits the floor, its your heart that will sink soon after. hahaha.

God is as faithful as gravity! Everyone of His words and promises over your life will come true.

The promise of eternity is seriously yours if you believe in the Good news!

If you can trust gravity, unconsciously or consciously, pray that you can trust God for what He says. Pray sincerely because God is looking for people who will believe Him when He says something.

He wants people who can walk and live in all His promises. Its a choice to trust and to believe in God. If you believe in gravity, believe also in God.

Some of you may say to gravity, "trust what? it just happens what"

The truth is, you actually never knew "it just happens" until your first fall and your first bruise or cut.

Trust in God takes practice and soon it can "just happen" too:D

Talent and Abilty Vs Opportunity and Responsibilty

Here's something I posted to my class inspired by Elder Glen's message on the Parable of the Talents:

"I learnt something new today.

It refers to 2 different things which actually have a proportionate link. They are ability vs opportunities/ responsibilities. I will use the ownership of a car to discuss this. when i own a car i have an ability. Now, if i use the car for myself alone that is ferry myself from point A to point B alone, I use it for my own convenience. However, now with a new car, i also have new opportunities. I can fetch my friends to school, i can go out for late night suppers with some close friends, i can help in the transpotation of logistics to places, I can meet important clients in a shorter period of time, I can fetch children to school and the list goes on.

As long as our ability do not have an outlet where we have opportunities and take up responsibilties to serve, we actually fail in handling that ability; The talent goes to waste. I think it would be a good self reflecting exercise if we listed down all our talents, special gifts and abilities and matched it with the amount of opportunities we have to use these ability.

As teachers, we have to stretch. I believe we have to come to a point where we do not have surplus in our ability. In economics, it would mean optimum output. Like what some of you have mentioned and Mrs Goh has emphasised, we are a people developing profession. I think in such professions, the aim is always to make the next generation better than the first. To push the limits of those we serve to a level higher than our own. Ted went far but only because Mrs Thompson covered the a mile first (She went the extra mile for him to go miles further)

Yup. We should really try the exercise; match your abilities with your responsibilities and opportunities. Let no talent go to waste:D"

This is an example of how you can actually influence your class with Christian values which will in turn lead them to find the true Teacher of such values.

I will list a few posts over the next 2 weeks in regards to knowing, hearing and doing the will of God. Most of it is from George Muller. He has 4 volumes of books written on "some of the Lord's dealing with George Muller". Furthermore, his whole life was geared to proving by evidence the faithfulness of God; that is He still hears and answers prayers. You can google more about him if you want to:D

There are 6 points and it will be released slowly so that you have time to practice what is being taught:

1. "I seek at the beginning to get my heart into such a state that it has no will of its own in regard to to a given matter. Nine-tenths of the trouble with people generally is just here. Nine-tenths of the difficulties are overcome when our hearts are ready to do the Lord's will, whatever it may be. When one is truly in this state, it is usually but a little way to the knowledge of what His will is."

The Parable of the Soccer ball in relation to God's word.

1. At any one point of time, our eyes cannot see the entire ball with all its side. Likewise the Word of God in its infinity cannot be completely understood no matter how much you have read the Word.

2. We need to juggle God's word beautifully with focus and skill.

3. Just like a soccer ball is meant for kicking and not for display, God's word is meant for application and not just to read.

4. The legs get constantly trained to be accustomed to the ball, we are trained in righteousness when we are familiar with the word of God.

5. We can use God's word to dribble past our enemies!

6. The soccer ball is sowned with different patches to make it. In the same way, the Word of God with its different aspects is made to reveal Christ.

7. As the soccer ball is dribbled nearer to the opposite's Goal, the opposition panics. When the Word of God as a message of salvation is brought to sinners, satan panics.

8. The ball is empty and purposeless without the air. The Word of God is useless without the illumination of the Holy Spirit.

9. Like the soccer ball, the Word of God is always there. It is whether we want to take up the game and have faith in the Word.

10. Without a referee, the soccer ball is not played properly. Without the belt of truth, the Word of God can be misinterpreted and misused.

11. The soccer ball is kicked and it becomes a game. The Word of God is applied and it becomes LIFE

12. Just as a player tries to keep the ball in his possesion, the Word of God must be kept in our hearts as best as we can.

This all was done in 10 mins before follow up session!! haha..

Listening to God's Voice

1. Open your ears -by Deborah

4. Be specific in what you ask

5. Wait for the answer

6. Expect that God will speak through the Word, Spirit, People and Circumstances.

Here are basic steps to take. The steps in between are exciting and one you would have to walk alone.

God always speaks. Its a LAW. Maybe not in direct words but indirectly in such a way that you WILL understand.

Don't be confused. Just do and listen.

The Thought Realm

Luke 6:45 [AMP]

"...and be renewed in the spirit of your mind" Eph 4:23 [NKJV]

"...but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God." Romans 12:2 [NKJV]

That is where it all begins... the thought domain.

Start thinking about what you are thinking.

Are not your actions as a result of what you think?

Thinking about revival? Thinking about how to get through army life? thinking that God is wasting your time? thinking that you cannot be used by God? thinking that there is no more to life? thinking that God cant work in you?

Pray. Ask the Holy Spirit to renew your mind with the Truths and not the lies. See your life transformed. Like James Allen mentions, it is a "continued effort".

Stick to the truth!

"Do not be surprised when God is faithful"

Some of us never hit the point of being surprised by God's faithfulness. We are still at the point where

"God might answer my prayers"

"God may make my life good"

"God may be the only Person that can fill my life".

Why do FEELINGS play such a big role in our lives and what God says seems like dotted lines on our life pages? I'm not a robot either. However, feelings are not the TRUTH you should rely on. Sometimes when God says,

Prov 6:21 "Bind them continually upon your heart and tie them about your neck." and

Prov 7:3 "Bind them on your fingers; write them on the tablet of your heart."

May it mean to you such that the word 'bind' would choke your heart, so tight that blood would not reach your fingers! A tablet is a stone. Allow His Word to be ingrained in you!! May you treat the Word of God with such aggression and desperation. Why shouldn't you?

If the whole world is screaming at you to think this way and feel that way, why don't we stick to God and His Word like a baby clinging tight to his mom in times of uncertainty?

Let's look at what David said when he faced Goliath;

1 Samuel 17: 45 to 47 "You come against me with sword and spear and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the LORD Almighty, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied.

This day the LORD will hand you over to me, and I'll strike you down and cut off your head. Today I will give the carcasses of the Philistine army to the birds of the air and the beasts of the earth, and the whole world will know that there is a God in Israel.

All those gathered here will know that it is not by sword or spear that the LORD saves; for the battle is the LORD's, and He will give all of you into our hands."

Look at the words of confidence. Why is that? what's the difference? He didn't feel afraid? Unlikely. His giant(s) fell.

Are yours still walking around breathing threats into the air?

May the Lord who left His place for you, show you how to change the "maybes", the "mights" and the "can'ts" into "wills"...

When God speaks...

For Four Hundred years, God kept silent. Between the time the last book in the Old Testament was written until the time John the baptist was born, there was no voice. No clue and no hint to where this world was heading. The world developed from civilization to civilization. Inventions came about. New discoveries was made. But the voice of God was far from heard. There might have been a longing in some people's heart to hear the Voice of God but every daily activity was carried out without reference to God. There might have been hopelessness. Religion came about. I guess Judaism thrived. God was still in control but for that 4oo years, nobody could live a life of purpose. At most, they would wait for the coming Messiah and some still are. Serving God became a custom to the priests (Luke 1).

Then God spoke!! Here's a record of what happened:

Luke 1:13-17

But the angel said to him,

"Do not be afraid, Zacharias, for your petition has been heard, and your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you will give him the name John.

"You will have joy and gladness, and many will rejoice at his birth.

"For he will be great in the sight of the Lord; and he will drink no wine or liquor, and he will be filled with the Holy Spirit while yet in his mother's womb.

And he will turn many of the sons of Israel back to the Lord their God.

It is he who will go as a forerunner before Him in the spirit and power of Elijah, TO TURN THE HEARTS OF THE FATHERS BACK TO THE CHILDREN, and the disobedient to the attitude of the righteous, so as to make ready a people prepared for the Lord."

LOOK at all those wordS!! It was a lot but it was all worth it! Can you see the power, Hope, purpose? This is it!! God speaks!! He hears and He speaks!! Do you see the impact that came through those words? A prophet will rise again. God will have His people drawn back to Him. WOW!

To some of us, it would be like "so what's that got to do with me?" Plenty. Before a sinner converts to accept that Christ has died for his sins, God speaks. Before you repent of your sins, God speaks. Before a revival breaks forth, God speaks. Before a people start to pray in desperation, God speaks. Before judgment pours out on people, God speaks. Before a life changes and destiny is made, God speaks(Jer 1:5).

When God speaks, you get peace, power and purpose. You get nothing when God doesnt speak. "Punching the air" is what it feels like when God doesn't speak.

Has God spoken to you?

What has God been speaking to you?

Have you responded to God's voice?

I know this simple article speaks to some of you. If you have questions, post it on the tag or call your leaders. When God speaks, things change when you respond.

"What's the Game Plan, Coach?"

Isa 55:8[NLT] " 'My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,' says the Lord. 'And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine.' "

DARN!!! Another day of running around the tracks aimlessly. Going round and round finding totally no purpose and heading towards nowhere. At the end of another day, your best friends- Tired and Weary come to eat dinner with you again. You put in your best and you vomitted your guts out after training so hard. It seems, however, that PROGRESS is far from one's reach. What is wrong?! What is going on? We feel OVERWHELMED by all that Coach is throwing at us. What is God really bringing us through?

I wished I had the answers for everything that was going on. I wished I understood Coach's suppossedly brilliant plan. Wait... that might just kill the fun in all the training. Well... maybe just a clue, a hint, ANYTHING, just to let me carry on for another day! I thank God that I am at a point of time when I am confused and uncertain about so many things in my life. That just shows that God still has so much to teach me and I still have so much to learn. He is showing me things I never knew. That is His way of communicating and telling all of us, "I haven't forgetten about you".

We question God. We question the Professional saying, "Are You sure You know what You're doing?". Nothing wrong in that. That is how anyone would relate to any funny circumstance. Your previous experience of what God has done or what you were used to are failing and falling apart. You no longer know what God wants or what God does. He is no longer defined by your previous experiences. He's out of that box we thought we could keep Him in and even try to manipulate Him.

He is NEW!! He is NEW!! He is NEW!! God is answering prayers for fresh new encounters. Man, that is some amazing truth. We're actually getting what we prayed for. You sure? Think about it for a moment. Now, it seems that this few encounters are a little more painful than previous ones but here's what God says, "Be still and know that I am God..." Psalm 46:10.

Be still. Be still. Let God teach you, grant you wisdom and express His unfailing love for you. Fear Not. For He will NEVER leave you nor forsake you.

"Coach, I'm back. What's next?"

1 Cor 9:24-27[MSG] "You've all been to the stadium and seen the athletes race. Everyone runs; one wins. Run to win. All good athletes train hard. They do it for a gold medal that tarnishes and fades. You're after one that's gold eternally. I don't know about you, but I'm running hard for the finish line. I'm giving it everything I've got. No sloppy living for me! I'm staying alert and in top condition. I'm not going to get caught napping, telling everyone else all about it and then missing out myself. "

Running is tough. Running a Christian race is even tougher. Especially one that is aimed for such an extraordinary crown. The running of the race is not as tough as the training that goes behind it. After all, we are under the best Coach in town.

Remember the time you missed a training because you were "not feeling well"? Or how about skipping dance practice, NCC saturdays, basketball practice, army training for some reasons which were far from the actual truth? Hey, all of us get sick sometimes. Emotionally sick, confused, pressured over something that didn't concern the training or the race. I hope you can identify with such feelings. Ever wondered how Coach would feel everytime you missed training?

The last thing you should feel after reading this is guilt and condemnation because Coach is not in the business of honing in to your missed training sessions and "tekanning" you. When Paul wrote this, he didn't leave out the fact that the greatest Coach will be teaching you and he didnt leave out the fact that you will miss some trainings on purpose. He was talking about getting back in the race. He was talking about taking part in the tough training even if you have already missed some.

You've had questions and doubts about your own walk with God. You may have faced disappointment with the relationships you have had with the people in church. You may have faced temptation and you may have fell again and again. Is there something wrong with your legs or your lungs or your brain? Is there something wrong with the Coach? If you're seriously thinking about the answer, the answer is NO!! You may have been distracted or you may have lost the motivation.

Would you like to know what Coach is thinking? Coach is simply waiting for you to get back in training. If He asked you to run, He will train you up in your motivation and all the other areas too. He just wants to hear you say, " Coach, I'm back. What's next?" Will you say it? I hope you do.. soon.. He's waiting. You don't always have to be "ready". He is the Coach and that is really His job, not yours. Your response to God is important.

What was Moses thinking? "God, I can't. You can"

Read Exodus 14

All that stood between the Israelites and the Promised Land was the threatening Red Sea. A really huge boat and a lot of rounds would be required to take more than 600 000 Israelites across that river. That would have taken a few days.

You would have thought that after the Ten Wonders that God performed, the Pharoah would have understood what God was trying to do. You would have thought that the Israelites would be celebrating for the freedom they had just received or for some, the gold and silver articles that they received from their neighbours. Well, they might have had but God had one final scene before they arrived at their destination.

Amidst all the stench of the people that had not bathed for a few days, the foul smell of animals' you know what, the tired legs that have been walking for countless hours and the noisy children that don't seem to stop running around, the Israelites faced another trivia- the oncoming chariots of Egypt! What now? Most of them saw the huge sea and the oncoming slaughter. The healthy ones were prepared to swim over. The rest were preparing their death beds. Oh man! Was this how it was going to end?

They cried to God. What faith!! Wait a minute.. They cried to God but they complained of their doom at the hands of Pharoah. That wasn't faith, that was fear!

Moses said, "“Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which He will accomplish for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall see again no more forever." What was Moses thinking? The whole lot of the army's best forces were coming up against them and he said to the Israelites, "Chill, dudes. We're gonna make it" Well, some would say he wasnt in the right frame of mind. I mean, which political leader, having a nuclear rocket pointing straight towards his country, say, "Don't worry. God says we wouldn't die".

That's exactly what he said. He didn't drop his screws somewhere along the way. He saw the Pharoah's Army, saw the huge red sea but he saw God's Promises too. He knew God will keep His Words especially after the 10 Wonders. The Israelites seemed to forget. They forgot their freedom. They forgot their loot. They said that they had rather been back in Egypt. That is really shocking when God responded to deliver them only when they cried out to Him. Moses knew that there was definately more to the Israelites' lives. There was a dream that God had given to him. A dream of a promised land and Moses was hard headed towards that!

A lot of times, we're like the Israelites. We respond to pain, struggles, danger and obstacles as a dead end in our lives. We forget that God has a plan, a dream that He has given to each and everyone of us. I know I do. I have said, "I can't" too many times. My dreams seemed to have stalled because of that. But the Holy Spirit encourages me to get up; not on my own feet but in confidence of what God has said and to have faith. For all of us, it's really time to say, "God, I really can't carry on, but YOU can"!! In whatever way God reveals to you, in whatever way Holy Spirit leads you and in whatever situations God causes to come over you, walk in faith, holding on to the dreams that He has given to you!

The world has yet to see a man who will destroy Goliaths with a sling and a stone!

We're meeting at the residence of none other than one of the best cooks in REvival GEneration, Jerrold Quek!! Nope, he's not cooking but its still his place so the aura of great food is still there. The date is 25th November 2007. We'll most likely head down after service for preparation and gaming!!

Here's what I need you to do: VOLUNTEER!! (wow.. look at all the hands that are already raised up)

Assist Jerrold in buying and marinating the food
Get drinks, ice and the drink dispenser
Staple(rice/bee hoon) for about 20 people (Just in case you're wondering why so much, james and wai yin make up 5 people)
Buy Equipment- Fire starter, Charcoal, wire mesh, aluminium foil, tongs (used ones also can)
COOK on the day

I suggest:

The young men and women staying near jerrold (novena, toa payoh, boon keng, balestier, Whampao) to help him buy stuff and marinate at his house either tommorrow or sat morning. Wont take more than 3 hours.
The persons with the drink dispenser call me quickly
The girls can potentially cook up something for staple. Wai Yin is already preparing the salad. Way to set an example. (CLap, CLap, CLap)
Some who are free tml come with me in my car to buy the equipment. (only guys)
For drinks, get 1 bottle of syrup and 8 bottles of 7-up. This can be split among 2 or 3 people.
The rest who can't do anything before sunday, volunteer to cook.(bbq license is required.. Muahahaha)

"Don't let me go DRY!!"

I wished you could hear the groaning of David as he longs for the presence of God!! (Psalm 42) It comes from so deep inside.

He was thirsty. He was extremely thirsty!! He wanted God.

My friends, i was wandering how come we would just let everyday of Qt go by being satisfied with almost nothing from God.

There is just so much of God that I have yet to touch in the 5 years of my Christian life!!

Let me tell you how it feels when I don't find God presence with me:

It's painful to live a life every moment without God. It is seriously painful
One part of your heart is simply missing througout the day. "Where is your God?" The soul cries.
How more boring can life actually get?
I realise how temporal the things like studying, adoring beauty and entertainment can be.

HEY!!! It's simply empty. That is what the desperation for Jesus causes you to feel.

Remember that your relationship with God is as tender as Candy floss. One saliva and it melts away. Take care of it:D

Do YOU Believe?

What is the meaning of the word "believe"?

As Christians we would use this word as much as we use the word "the".
But what is it in fact?

What does the word of God say about believe?

Ps 78:22 "Because in God they believed not [they relied not on Him, they adhered not to Him], and they trusted not in His salvation (His power to save)."

Pr 14:15 "The simpleton believes every word he hears, but the prudent man looks and considers well where he is going."

Matt 21:22 "And whatever you ask for in prayer, having faith and [really] believing, you will receive."

John 11:48 "If we let Him alone to go on like this, everyone will believe in Him and adhere to Him, and the Romans will come and suppress and destroy and take away our [holy] place and our nation [[a]our temple and city and our civil organization]."

John 20:29 "Jesus said, "So, you believe because you've seen with your own eyes. Even better blessings are in store for those who believe without seeing."

Acts 16:31 "So they said, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.”"

Romans 10:14 "But how are people to call upon Him Whom they have not believed [in Whom they have no faith, on Whom they have no reliance]? And how are they to believe in Him [adhere to, trust in, and rely upon Him] of Whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without a preacher?"

Hebrews 11:6 "But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. "

So what is believe? Are there actions following believe?

James 2:19-26 says, "Do I hear you professing to believe in the one and only God, but then observe you complacently sitting back as if you had done something wonderful? That's just great. Demons do that, but what good does it do them? Use your heads! Do you suppose for a minute that you can cut faith and works in two and not end up with a corpse on your hands?
21-24Wasn't our ancestor Abraham "made right with God by works" when he placed his son Isaac on the sacrificial altar? Isn't it obvious that faith and works are yoked partners, that faith expresses itself in works? That the works are "works of faith"? The full meaning of "believe" in the Scripture sentence, "Abraham believed God and was set right with God," includes his action. It's that mesh of believing and acting that got Abraham named "God's friend." Is it not evident that a person is made right with God not by a barren faith but by faith fruitful in works?
25-26The same with Rahab, the Jericho harlot. Wasn't her action in hiding God's spies and helping them escape—that seamless unity of believing and doing—what counted with God? The very moment you separate body and spirit, you end up with a corpse. Separate faith and works and you get the same thing: a corpse. "

If so, what are the actions that are incorporated into believe? Do you believe for revival? Do you believe in signs and wonders? Do you believe that you are more than conquerors? do you believe that the church is God's plan of redemption for the world?

Here's what I'm trying to say: Know, intimately, what you believe and live according to that believe

Faith for the IMpoSSible!

Luke 1:37 "For nothing will be impossible with God."

Psalms 115:3 " But our God is in the heavens; He does whatever He pleases"

Our God is able to raise up children of Abraham from stones!! (Luke 3:8)

He can multiply two loaves and feed 5 000 people. No need to open up BreadTalk!

HE can calm the storm!! (Mark 4:39)

HE can turn water into wine!! (John 2:7)

He can raise the dead!! (luke 7:14)

Take one Truth and meditate on it. God is really able to do impossible things in your life. Mountains can move!! Are you willing to trust God for the impossible?

After the "weeds" have been killed, you have more "oxygen, nutrients and sunlight" for yourself which is THE remedy for growth. I believe God desires that to happen in your own life too. Even right now.

John 15:5 " I am the Vine; you are the branches. Whoever lives in Me and I in him bears much (abundant) fruit. However, apart from Me [cut off from vital union with Me] you can do nothing." [AMP]

Alright. Now that's settle but how do I actually go about doing it?

Here's how: LISTEN and OBEY

He speaks to YOU You you you, so listen closely EVERYDAY. He may be speaking to you to clean up your own backyard. He may be speaking to you to reach out to your friends. He may be speaking to you to minister to your brothers and sisters in Christ. He may tell you to pray, intercede or even comfort the weary. YOU You you you have a job that God has specifically assigned YOU You you you to do it, NO ONE ELSE!

Be ready, willing to listen and willing to do. God be with you:D

God's love and grace REalised:

The first time your head was one third the size of your body in your mother's womb

The big fuss you made when you were delivered from darkness into light (the operating theatre light)

The time the ruffled sound of "maa- maa" came out of your mouth along with other stuff that were sometimes pretty unpleasant

The time you took a crayon and wrote your name... all over the wall!!

The time you acted as batman and robin or played polly pocket

The time your mom and dad fetched you to primary school

The time you could learn how to read, write and take exams

The time when boys were monsters and girls were street fighters

The time you began to realise strange things happening to you and boys seemed cute and girls became damsels in distress

The time you fell and were in pain

The time you cried and the time you laughed

All the time you were safe and sound in Singapore

All the different, funny haired, weird characters that came along your way. Not forgetting that's how they saw you too:D

The time you had your first sip of coke

The time your problems became His problems

The time you realised that Someone decided to die for you

The time you realised that though you were guilty, Someone else was not spared for your sins (Romans 8:32)

The time you accepted that Person and had a new Boss over your life

The time you realised that all your days were planned by that Guy and you had nothing to worry about

The time you realised that all you had to do was obey Him and surrender your life to Him.

The time you realised God is everything to you.

The time you realised you will never be in control.

The time you can do your QT and sing to Him

The time you could even get up from your bed...

Thank God for His grace. The next time you realise God's grace (provision, love, care, kindness, purpose for you) is when today ends and tomorrow begins. Ask God to help you appreciate His grace more and more. "His grace is new every morning"

6months $1million

Hi all, for the benefit of those who still do not know, I've already found a job! By God's grace, I've started working already and this has every bit to do with the church development fund, the red card that says "6 months $1million"

What happened was, when the faith/fund raising committee set out this challenge of raising $1million in 6months, I felt that God impressed a sum of money upon my heart to give to this new pledge. As i was praying last last sat, 02/06/07, i felt that God was assuring me that i'll get the job but i thought i was imagining the voice. On sunday the same week, i was reading this book and a verse from Romans 10:17 jumped at me. It says "faith comes by hearing, and hearing through the word of God" i felt that God was challenging me to have faith. That night, I felt God was challenging me to write down that sum of money on the pledge even before my interview on monday. So i wrote the amount, thinking that regardless whether i'll get the job, God will provide the money for me somehow. So, i went for the interview on monday and got the job on thursday.

This church development and fund raising phase is very exciting, you should come and hear all the testimonies given by people of all background and ages of God's providence for this development. Though some of you does not come for the sunday service, i hope that you remember that you belong to RCC, the big family, not just Rgen. And so, this development is a phase for you too! Be excited at the possibilities of God revealing more of Himself to you as you yield to His way and allow Him to use you to raise fund for our church. It is really very exciting! I hope you'll be stirred up and give your share and yourself into this project of God!

Trust and Sacrifice

Hi all, after last sat's LG meeting, do you feel challenged to give more of yourself to Jesus? Trusting Him in times of difficulties might seem hard when the road ahead seem treacherous and it's much easier to give up. Making sacrifices seem hard as well... coz you don't know giving up how much is enough or what exactly do you have to give up.

These are however, the two important lessons that God has been and will be teaching us this year as a LG. No matter who you are, where you're studying or what you're doing, you'll still be learning these lessons (even if you're doing nothing i.e hols haha). Woa, scary huh? Well yes, in a way, but God will definately see us through our own individual circumstances and we'll definately learn great lessons through it all.

Who can we trust if we can't trust someone who has died for us? What can't we sacrifice when Jesus gave up his life for us? We can place every bit of trust in God and we can sacrifice every bit of ourselves if we're willing. Yup, if we're willing. Nothing can prevent us from giving it all up unless we ourselves are unwilling. So continue to trust, continue to make sacrifices... It will hurt, but we're gonna learn the most precious lessons and in turn be blessed at the end of the day.

Sing A Song of Praise In The Darkest Hours

As i was reading "The Applause Of Heaven" by Max Lucado, the chapter entitled "The Kingdom Worth Dying For" caught my eye for it talked about persecutions. How men of God went through persecutions and how God look at persecutions.

One of the persons mentioned in this chapter is John the Baptist. He got killed because he denounced Herod's marriage to his sister-in-law as adultery, Lucado wrote "Is this how God rewards his anointed? Is this how he honours his faithful? Is this how God crowns his chosen? With a dark dungeon and a shiny blade?" Do you feel as if you're in a dungeon of some sort? That God left you there to battle for yourself till the war is won? Or God has somehow forgotten you... Will He ever come back to fetch you? God has allowed trials and persecutions to take place because it's His will, but through it all, He has never and will never ever forget His children. He's just silent, that's all. His being is more real than the air you breathe even if you don't feel it. In the later part of the chapter, Lucado wrote "He (God) cares about persecutions. He cares about inequities and hunger and prejudice. And he knows what it is like to be punished for something he didn't do."

Perhaps, if you're facing attacks or persecutions, it's time for you to read Acts 16:16-40. Paul and Silas were thrown into jail for doing deliverence. Is that fair? I don't think so. But look at Acts 16:25 "But at midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them" Well, after being flogged (v23) and locked up (v24), they just sang lor (v25). That singing is worship and that worship is powerful! For it shook the earth and freed them (v26) and brought salvation to the jailer's household (v31-34) eventually. Instead of grumbling and complaining, they worshipped. Will you worship if it were you?

God knows everything that we are going through and justice and righteousness are His (Psalm 97:2). Never mind that you're going through a little pain and humiliation, because you will be truly blessed at the end of it. For the bible says "Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven." (Matthew 5:10)

Facing persecutions? Sing songs of praise unto Him, for you will be truly blessed.

Hi all, wow it's been a long time since i've dropped an entry. So i'm back. Just wanna share with you guys what God shared with me last sat.
I felt that God reminded me of the vision He planted in this youth ministry, To bring Revival to Our Generation. I got reminded of how our name came about "Revival Generation"... a people chosen to bring Revival to our Generation. Find me repeating the same thing? Yea, that's the purpose. To keep repeating and reminding ourselves that that's the purpose of our ministry's existence.

I wondered whether you've let this vision eroded, let the coming 'A' levels and such take its place instead. Perhaps you look at yourself and say, "hey, i don't think God has called me to the task" or "i don't think i'm fit for it". Oh well, if you can't make it, God would have place you in other churches, other places long ago. Why did He bother planting you in this church? Because this is where you make up the body, where you're called to Go.

I thought of the areas in our lives that needed revival badly. Our prayer lives, worship, reading of God's word and perhaps our conduct in front of non-believers. God is not ashamed of those areas that are broken and need restoration, He can breathe live into dry bones and cause them to live again (Ezekiel 37:1-14). Do you need revival in your lives? Do you need the breath of life that can restore broken lives and lost hope? Ask God today to give you the breath of life, you don't have to wait till saturday or sunday, you can ask from God wherever you are now.

Revival Generation... The people set apart to bring Revival to this Generation...

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?

... Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.

There you go!! Don't let anyone else know cause God doesn't like too many people to know where His secret place is. You see if there was too many people at the secret place..

He wouldn't be able to share His heart out so openly
He wouldn't be able to express Himself intimately to each and everyone of us
He wouldn't be able to tell you the best secrets of His heart
IT's A SECRET LA!!!

Basically, He wouldn't be able to do things which only 2 close friends would do. Think about that for a second...

They say 3 is a crowd and that is true when it comes to your personal relationship with God. All Wai Yin and James does is to point you to the secret place. Wai Yin and James can't tell you everything. What we do is we coach like a coach trains up his athlete or like a dance teacher perfects the dance steps of her student.

Let me tell you something else. if you can't seem to experience God for that time of appointment with Him, don't walk away. Wait and show Him that you care. Wait and show Him that you care no matter what. He will appreciate you for that. Trust me:D

No more judgment my friends!! No more judgments for your sins!! No more quality and faults check. No more adidas or nike rejected goods. ALL who believe in Jesus pass from death to eternal life. Good stuff!! It just takes faith and a quickening of the Holy Spirit in your heart and you're saved!!

It's like the umpire at a baseball game shouting "SAFE!" at everyone who is playing on Jesus team. IF you're not, you are "OUT!!" no matter how fast you run or how hard you hit the ball. Condemnation is not a good word to hear. But it is truth. For every work, everyone will be judged. Why? Because God is a God of justice and righteousness. He is impartial and therefore no one escapes His judgement.

Chose for yourself this day; freedom from condemnation or risk your eternity in moments of backsliding and disbelief...

When No one had responded during the altar call for salvation despite praying, I then remember somewhere in the Bible where someone asked God many times for more souls each time. Then I asked: 'God, If I asked for 1 soul would you give that 1 soul? I felt Him saying 'Yes I would" Then I asked further, God, If I now asked for 2 souls, would you provide? Then, I felt the same reply.

There was a doubt in my mind then, however later on I found how there was indeed 2 salvations!!! I was lost in words at the simplicity and how God can speak and answer my doubt, prayers, request and etc... Praise God!

Ps 4:3 "... The LORD will hear when I call to Him."

Guess where I saw this? It might be familiar to some of you. I found it at one of the corners of our new meeting place. It was nicely placed on the table, upside down on a piece of cardboard. if you didn't already know, the place where we meet on saturday is where all the adolescents stay, play and learn about God on the sunday. So next time you find some funny vomit smell or dirty smudges on the wall, you will know that it wasn't Samuel and Lester who did it.

Very simple right the verse? I was happy when i saw the verse because it just showed how simple God is. The kids learn this. I wonder how much they understand.

How much do you understand this verse?

Do you understand it only with your mind or also with your heart? Think about it.

Take the whole week and think about it.

"One verse, whole week?!! It's too little. James has gone nuts."

If it was me, i would do it for my QT for the whole week and ask the Holy Spirit to keep teaching me more and helping me "internalise" it. Got to put it into my system!

Ask questions: does it apply to only me as a child of God? does it apply everytime? how do i call God? how does God hear? Does He hear from one ear and let's it go out the next ear? Will He hear me if I go against Him? keep asking...

If you really can't trust what the verse is saying, ask the Holy Spirit to help you until you are able to trust God that He will listen to you whenever you call Him anytime, anywhere!

What S Stands For

I got back my MT results yesterday, was rather sad for a while, but after the tide cleared, I knew God had something to tell me. Yes I got an S grade. It was worst then a C6 for the first try at Os MT. It meant that I failed, even though it was enough for varsity admission.

For a moment I felt that I could have done much better, like study much much harder and to push myself more. Haofeng and Deborah both getting a B didn’t really help me much!

I seriously felt at one point, rather unable to do anything well. I felt useless. Like since year 1 I haven’t seen decent passes (there were plenty more fails) in my subjects, with the exception of GP. But there was this soft prompting in my heart which tells me ‘I’m with you’. The voice tells me that I’m his child and I have my own story to tell. Some people will get their As. Many well get championship trophies, top their sports, be musically talented and play dozens of instruments. I may not be one of them. I may not get straight As in school. I may not be the best. But the voice tells me I am better then the scholar, then the champion, then the boss of that huge company. Why? Cause I have something that they don’t. I have the grace to enter the throne room of the Maker of Heavens and the Earth, of the God almighty. I have no strength, but I have the ultimate source of strength. I have Jesus.

Now I know what S on my results slips stands for. It stands for I have the Saviour with me. And that, to me, is a greater encouragement for me to face the A levels then anything else.

Hello POWER!! Here's my first lifegroup post. Sad that it is actually a good bye. I'll be leaving for India this afternoon to settle some personal stuff. Tell you guys more when I come back on the 28th if nothing goes wrong. I won't be there for LG on 24th Feb. I'll miss you guys especially all the good food times next tues and sunday. Not like that was important.Hahaha.. Try to be good to Wai Yin and don't cause her any trouble at least for that week. Hahah..

There is internet there (i hope) so I'll still be able to keep in contact with you guys. Call my handphone if you dont mind the overseas charges. Heheh.

Keep sending your testimonies! I'll be reading them from over there and it'll really encourage my heart. You guys are good writers and as long as your heart is pure, the impact made by your testimonies are measured in enormous amounts. So keep on sharing the good news of God in your life! Bring down the morale of the enemy!

Pray for me while I am there. I want to share the gospel with the Indians. Want to bring them the good news to those who really need the eternal salvation. The fears are many. My All For Him: From a second Gener’s perspective.

Many of us think second generation Christians, or second geners for short, have it easy. Yes your mum and dad and brother are all Christians, yes you grew up singing ‘Jesus loves me this I know’ and ‘Give me oil in my lamb’. But ask any of the few second geners around they will tell you a different story. Yes your parents brought you up well, good. Yes you do not worry over how to break the news that you believe in Jesus to your family, excellent. Sounds pretty easy you say!

No. This journey is no less challenging then that of the first geners. Second Geners face a time in their youth where they face a difficult question and they have to make that decision. Sometimes growing up in a church may not be such a good thing either. The fact that you are so complacent with whatever that you are and are so used to Church and God that you become less and less sensitive to God and begin to fall off. I can name you fifteen of us, all second geners, all knew Jesus. But I can easily say that the only one surviving is the guy writing this! Not that I am proud of myself, I know that this is but God’s grace and mercy in my life and he has blessed his unworthy servant too many a times.

So what happened to my friends you ask? Well here’s the catch. Whether first gener or second, whether you can recognize Jesus in the toddler’s Bible while googoogahgah-ing, or you knew Jesus only yesterday, we are faced by a Y fork in the road of life. It shows two ways, the long and narrow road which takes a winding turn, or the big nice one with little billboards at the side. The narrow road, if chosen, means losing your life, your dignity, your pride, your selfish ambitions, your all that the world would tell you good job. And that choice is hard, I took many many years contemplating to stay on the wide road with billboards and enjoy my life. Some chose to stay on that road. They failed in life’s journey. All the way for God is my for myself prayer daily .The world has trained us well to do things by our own. But seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all these shall be added unto you. Surely that path is weird!! By losing it all away not only do you gain but plus blessings? YES! That’s the amazing path of God! But sadly, too few made the right choice.

I too struggle to stay on course. I am no superman. I am weak, I WILL fail. But I know a of a superman who will NEVER fail in helping us in this journey, a God who will guide and bless his children.

We are at the fork of our lives daily. Which road will you take today? God help us to make the right decision!

Here’s a short phrase from a poem which I wrote in Secondary 4, may it bless you in the hardest days of your life=D :

Ok for today's second testimony of the day, we have amanda's testimony. So for all those out there who havent submitted ur testimony... u better hurry. =].

"I had always been a rebel at a very young age. It only got worse as I grew older. I argued with teachers, with my principal, which got me retained in Secondary three. But that was not the only reason why I was retained. I was almost never in school. Most nights I would sneak out of my house when my parents went to bed. After a night of partying, I would come home at 5 in the morning and crawl into bed, conveniently “forgetting” to go to school.

I never believed there was a God because I felt neglected a lot. I blamed Him for me being retained and everything that went wrong in my life. Even though I was having fun, making full use of every moment to enjoy myself, there was a lot of pain in my heart. So I also started to cut myself frequently. It seemed that dealing with physical pain was a lot easier than dealing with all the emotional and mental pain I had to go through.

I ran away from home, I snuck out to go party, I missed school, and I cursed at my teachers. You would think that was the worst I could be but it only got worse.

After I graduated from Secondary school, my life went from bad to worse. I picked up drinking, smoking and clubbing. It became so much a part of my lifestyle that one day without it just seemed funny (make me feel uneasy?). I had memberships to clubs which entitled me free entry, which also gave me more reason to club. I thought, “since my friends are all doing it, it can’t be that bad so why not?” That was the sort of thinking that eventually led me to get a tattoo. Nothing could stop me. I had the “I like it so I do it” attitude.

When my Christian friends asked me to go to church, I would reply bluntly with a “NO” and try to change the subject. If they persisted, I would tell them off, “God has never been there for me, so why should I care about what He wants?” My friends eventually gave up asking me to go to church and I continued with my partying.

Then came the day when I woke up with an urge to find God. I woke up thinking; “I need someone in my life I can fully rely on.” I wanted to go to church, but I changed my mind shortly after that when I found out that a party was going on the same day. So for a couple of weeks, I put God aside again. I was either too lazy or had other plans.

Somehow one day I decided, “ok, enough is enough. I will go this weekend” and so I finally went to church. That day was the most amazing day I could ever remember. It was the day God’s presence was so real to me. With tears streaming down from my eyes, I came before God asking Him to forgive me for all the wrongs that I did. After that day, my life was totally changed. I stopped clubbing, drinking and smoking overnight. I also found out that two weeks before I first stepped into the church, a friend whom I have lost contact had started praying for me. God told her to pray for me as she stumbled upon my blog.

Now even my friends see the change in me. They say, “Don’t bother asking her to go party anymore la, she’s a church girl now,” and I’m glad that they think so because I love going to church! Because I love God!

God had planned everything and even though I ignored Him in the beginning and didn’t believe in Him, He reached out to me and chose to save me.

Even when I was cursing Him, mocking Him, he loved me enough to plan for me to return to Him one day. People always ask , “How can you give up partying and all? Don’t you miss it?” It’s simple, really. Jesus gave up his life for me , what’s partying compared to that? Miss it? No, looking back now, the “fun” just can’t match the joy I get from God.

Friends, a few months before today, God has already asked us to be praying for you. Just as He reached out to me with His love, He is reaching out to you. God is the Only One who can turn your upside-down world the right-side up. Thank you."

My Last Post.

To my beloved lifegroup, it really has been a great joy serving you. =)

No words can describe all the good times (and bad) that we enjoyed together. It is with a slight tinge of sadness that I leave you guys and girls.

It's always a shepherd's heart to see his sheep grow, and I am no exception. Though I will no longer be overseeing you all, I do hope to hear you come up to me and tell me that life's been good, and that you've overcame your issues. Haha.

As we continue to run this race, remember that God is always with us! the Holy Spirit leads and guides! don't lose hope, don't give up. Becuz GOD NEVER GIVES UP ON YOU. Press on till you see your breakthrough. Know some of you guys are still struggling with many issues. But don't be discouraged. Press on!

My last request is that POWER M&M will really be a community of love. Start opening up to each other, and share your problems. It's amazing how God can use your fellow brothers and sisters to impact your life.

May His grace be sufficient for you.

Hi all, i shall have the priviledge of updating this blog as requested and blogging the first entry of the year =)

Year 2006 has just gone by and in the past year, we've seen the hand of God moving in our midst. May it be in our ministry, our life group or even our personal lives, i believe God has brought us through exciting adventures and journeys with Him.I thank God for the new members in our midst, Singhwa, Amanda, Jennifer, Yvonne and Deborah. They've brought life and joy to the life group and their presence has certainly made a difference to our lives! Guess what? They're all going to get baptised this Jan, so come down for their baptism and rejoice with them!

It's been great seeing the miraculous power of God's healing, salvation and the stretching of our faith to reach out to 500 youths in the past year. Personally, i've truly seen how God used me to reach out to my friends and people around me and it's just simply amazing.

What about you? What were your thoughts when you looked back to year 2006? Are you able to look back and feel joyful or are there regrets and you questioned yourself "what have i been doing?" "why did i do that/why didn't i do what God says?" Well, since the year is already gone and another year is here, it's time to pick yourself up and have a brand new start with God. Make yourself available and be willing to do all that God says. Nothing beats a submissive spirit in being used by God, remember, God always looks at our hearts and not our talents. For if He look at our talents, many of us would not be able to serve Him because we have nothing to give Him. As you stand befroe God with a willing and submissive heart, God can use you in ways that you can't imagine, believe and you will see it.

Lastly, JoinT is over but God's work in our generation is not over yet. Perhaps, God will call us to a more impossible task this year, i really don't know. Whatever it is, keep praying and praying and reach out to people around you coz our generation's revival lies in our hands. I'm excited, coz i know that God has something more in store for us, and He's looking for people to listen to his heartbeat and pray. So, would you join Him and see His work come to pass? Come on board!

It's not just an event I hope, but a heart's cry for our generation! 2 Pet 3:9 says that God isn't slow to keep His promises, but patient and hoping for all to come to repentance.

This is it. It is only a beginning of things to come. My brothers and sisters, we're not into this because of an event, but as you catch the passion, remember that God's will is for souls to enter heaven.

This Christmas, give the best gift you can ever give to your friends- the gift of Jesus.

Hi POWER M&M!

It's a brand new week! Most of us have no school already, so we've lots of free time right?
Well, something for us to ponder upon this week as you slack, play lan, watch movie.

Sounds cliche, but my question for us this week is:

what are you doing with your time?

There are so many ways to spend our time, a 1-2 month holiday can just slip away, with no eternal value. I remember reading a book once and it talked about heaven-bound vision. Setting our hearts and minds on goals, targets, achievements of ETERNAL value.
Is gaming so fun ? Shopping so exciting? Sleeping so tempting?

Well, not that you can't do all of those, but ask yourself, what have you gained?

As we talk about JoinT, and out2play, I remind us, POWER M&M once again of our eternal missions and goals. Don't be like me, when I was in Jc, wasted a lot of my time and $$ on lan, shopping, etc.

I wasted a lot a lot of time and money. Looking back, I regretted it. Could have prayed more, read HIs word more, build better bonds with my old LG, etc. So think carefully, what you really want!

What are you doing with your time?

The enemy's not happy about us, so we must keep praying praying and praying! Our weapons are not against flesh and blood, but they are powerful for tearing down every work of the Enemy!

Let's keep each other in pray and call one another up also!!

This morning, I managed to share with my friend about Jesus, and I could see that his life was jolted from it's normality. I asked him about hell and I could see that he was really unsure about life after death! And my classmates have agreed to come for Out 2 Play!

Hope this encourages you to just keep asking! Because when we are on God's work He'll provide a way!

Let's keep sowing the seeds of His word!!

If we don't stand in the gap and pray, who will?

I felt God spoke to me about Ezekiel 22:30 "So i sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that i should not destroy it; but i found no one."

Yes, this is the exact verse we use for our LG blog, but does it engrave our hearts?
Are we paying the price for revival?

I believe God has stirred up something in our hearts and now it's up to us to sustain whatever He has placed in us. We might have responded to God's call to want to see revival hit our land, but people, we can't stay just "wanting to see". Like what Jeremy say, we gotta plough the land. When God looks down on us I pray that He see a bunch of people from RCC waving their hands at Him and say "Here i am Lord, here i am standing in the gap!" May He never look down and see NO ONE interceding on behalf of our land.

Here's some prayer pointers for praying for Christmas everyday for 15mins:
1) Our friends/ family members that they'll begin to see the need for God in their lives.
2) God to bring in our generation enslaved in sins, that He will reveal Himself to them and convict their hearts.
3)Ourselves: that we would see God's heartbeat for our generation and pray according to His heart.

Believe in the 500 souls to come! They'll definately be coming! Be excited!

REVIVAL. what does it mean to me? well, before the message by Ps Ben 2 weeks back, it was merely a word - something that i know i'm suppose to want to see it happening. I realised that i didn't have my own version of revival.
However, the day when Ps Ben preached (7thOct), God began to spoke to my heart. "Am i desperate enough to cry out loud for my generation to be saved?" , i thought. I can't really remember what Ps Ben said exactly, but he mentioned something about one day our friends will be the ones asking whether they could go to church. Then, i can't remember what was the thing he said next, but my heart was just crying out, "it's such a simple reason why i want my friends to go to church! JUST TO KNOW GOD". It felt as though I've finally found an answer to whatever that was bothering be.
I didn't want to see my friends suffering in life, not knowing God and living a life that leads them to eternal death eventually. Furthermore, after what Douglas shared about his vision last Saturday, i got more fearful. I don't want my friends and family to end up being burnt and bleeding eternally. If i don't tell them about God, who would? Sometimes it is so discouraging when friends reject your offer and family members just doesn't agree with you, but God showed me on Saturday that if i don't pray for them, they might never ever have a chance to know God at all.
Be truthful, tell the TRUTH to our friends! I believe that God will bring in that 500 souls!! He hears our prayers :)

Was praying today and felt the surge of desperation welling up inside of me, pictured my schoolmates and frends..earlier today i had this thought of all of them worshipping and i truly wana see that come to pass!!!!

One thing that struck me as i looked to the hazy skies was this simple line...

"The Winds of REVIVAL Will Come To Blow Away The Haze That Clouds The Vision of the Lost"

The haze referred to here isnt the smoke that we are breathing in everyday.. it is the enemy's veil of blindness upon our unsaved frends and those out there still without Jesus....their vision is hazy...

I want to see the WINDS OF REVIVAL come and blow away this haze that clouds their vision.. I wanna see the church packed with passionate believers who love God.. i wanna see my generation saved!!!! it's been ongoing.... now its time we all, as one, get onto the bandwagon and together, usher in the revival that God is about to pour on our land... wherever we may be.. on hols? in sch? it dun matter... jus keep praying.. even one sentence in between lecture breaks are gd!! i wanna be desperate... I want REVIVAL!!!!

i don't have much left to say... jus that we gotta pray!!! and believe with faith...

"Then suddenly, God just woke me up from sleep."

The past few weeks of my life was boring. Home,school,church. Saturdays youth services about revival seemed nothing much to me, I wonder sometimes how cold I’ve turned.

‘Revival’ sounded like any other word like ‘and’, ’then’ and ‘the’. Then it happened. Last Saturday I was routinely going back to church, and listened intently about revival again.

During LG, the part where it says “people need God and Life is short” suddenly struck me, how often have I forgotten that all is in the hands of God, and people DO need God, for without such we would be nothing.

After cell was prayer, and while Waiyin was just talking, the Lord just nudged me, I think he took some stuff and threw it down from heaven. Suddenly I was reminded of my friends, my school and all who passed me. Faces smiling, laughing having fun, yet one thing I knew, they were all going nowhere with God. It was something I knew all along, so much so that it gets so stale that I forgot the seriousness of it. So I was there, and as I thought of my friends and the Lord just seemed to tell me, ‘Go and make that difference’.

I don’t know how, and I worry at the prospect of talking to people about God, but these fears seemed like little lions without teeth, unable to do anything. Spiritual waters just flooded my soul, and for once I really just cried and prayed for my generation with all my strength. I guessed I must have prayed hyper loudly in tongues, but at that point nothing else seem to matter, I just wanted to tell God how much we needed our generation back, and as I opened my mouth words just seemed to come out. I believe that God has a plan for everyone, even someone like me, God has a plan for in these exciting times!

The next month or two will be exciting, I mean the thought of young people jus crying before the almighty God whom they don’t even believe in since K2 is just amazing! And I think I will come to pass!! Come let’s join hands pray for our people!! I don’t know about you, but I got a generation to pray for!!=D

Hi all, have you responded to saturday's call to pay the price for revival?
For those who did, what does it mean? It means sacrificing your time to pray and pray till revival breaks through. This in turn means giving up your favourite shows, movies, computer games and a whole lot of other things that crowd your life...so that you have time to pray. It also means giving up your face to preach to your friends. It's no longer enough to tell them "I'm a christian", it's time to tell them "I'm a christian and i pray that you'll become one too, i pray that you'll accept my God as your personal saviour..."

Revival times are exciting times. The adventures experienced during revival are indescribable. I long for revival and i'm sick of just hearing it but not experiencing it yet. Let's make revival our story, let's press on in prayer till we see it hit us. Zechariah 10:1 says "Ask the Lord for rain in the time of the latter rain. The Lord will make flashing clouds; He will give them showers of rain, grass in the field for everyone." Won't you ask God for the spiritual rain? Won't you start asking God for the 500 souls for Christmas?

Good morning and greetings in Jesus' Name!

Happy! Exams are over! Yay! Whatever the result, our pray is that you'd have learnt something out of this season of papers.

In this season where God is challenging us, I have a few questions for your reflection this week:

What is God challenging you to give up? What is God challengeing you to do?

Are you seeing a breakthrough in your life? Have you progressed?

Look back this 6months : Have you grown in God?

2 Tim tells us to guard the treasure entrusted to us- Jesus and His word - to hid His word in our hearts (Psa 119:11).

Experiencing God on Saturday is not enough! WE must keep on working it out in the week. =)

Have a Life? When God moves He IS our life! Wow POWER M&M thanks for a great time of LG today!

When God moves, it means it's time to get serious!

Thank God for all that He's done today for each and everyone of us! Thank God for using all of us to speak to one another.
All glory to Him!

As God has spoken to each one of us, I encourage us to keep the flame burning! Fan it into flame!

Few things for you to do this week as you read through this blog entry:

1. Fan the flame by spending time with HIm and reading your Bible.
How can we love God and don't spend time with Him? The fire and energy source still comes from the Generator Himself. Tap in!

2. Write it down!
Remember what God has done for you. When you feel that God does not care for you, look back at your journal and what you have written, you'll hold on to what He's spoken.

Finally, my friends, let us be like a soldier that's a part of God's army. We don't get ourselves involve in the affairs of the world. We do what the Lord calls us to do!

Hey power M&M!

This week is exciting my friends!! We're going through exams, so let's support those of us who are studying! =)

We will be praying for ya all too!!

Yesterday we recalled God's goodness and the lessons we took home from LG time. =)

My prayer is that as we reflect on them, we will desire to grow even more.

Much has been said about Revival. A lot of times we see others and say 'Wah, that person so on fire for Revival, but I don't feel a thing? Is there something wrong with me?'

Well, my answer is simple. =) We all started that way, no fire, no passion. But God, by His grace, slowly build into us his compassion and desire. Just like Cheryl said, we must each have a personal view of Revival. It's your own. No one can tell you what it means truly. We all have different families, friends, schools. Vision and passion comes when ya seek God for it, don't be lazy!

Well, this coming Saturday 30 Sep, it's LG Saturday!! Have a LIFE!!!

Challenge ya all to pray for it! WE believe God to move in our LG this Saturday, so let's join hands and pray! If ya want God to move, prepare your hearts by prayer!

Hi all, are you ready to be the Moses of our generation, are you ready to be that deliverer?
Are you willing to come out of the palace of comfort(TV, internet, computer games etc) and go into the wilderness for training? It takes lots of sacrifices, prayers, time and effort...Many times, it involves pain during the process of training too. But, are you willing? Are you willing to respond to God's call to give up your all?

The results may not be tangible yet. But we'll see the harvest one day if we keep sowing and praying for God's rain to pour down.

Do read through your sermon notes and start meditating on Moses as what pastor Ben said. For this week, pay attention to Exodus 3 which speaks about the burning bush. My prayer is, as you read about the burning bush, you'll be captivated by the beauty of it. You'll answer to God's beckoning and as you step into it, you'll be consumed and transformed.

Cast away the things of this world....and step into the burning bush.

Dear Christian, are you luke-warm?
Yes, i'm asking YOU, are YOU luke-warm?

Are you passionate for God? Or are you a christian who's just a christian in name? A 'non-practising' christian ain't a christian at all. What's the difference between this 'non-practising' christian (who doesn't go to church,who doesn't read his bible and doesn't pray) and an unbeliever? There's no difference isn't it? This christian has got no light, no taste and is strikingly similar to a non-christian. A 'non-practising' christian only knows Jesus by name, not by His person and character, ain't this exactly the same as the unbelievers? No wonder our friends doesn't want to come to church, no wonder our friends don't find Jesus special, because they can't see it at all. If you want to be a christian, then give it your all. Don't stay a rotting christian, it doesn't help proclaiming God's name at all.

There's so much said about revival, so what have you done about it? I know that i can't live my days as it is anymore and i know that i can't speak God's word with my own knowledge, that's why i've made changes to my daily routine so that i can come to God, surrender to Him and let Him take over. Is it time for you to start doing something as well? We've been placed in a church called "Revival Centre Church", and so, it is our responsibility to stay vigilant and pray till revival hits our church, our families and even our country. The burden of the seven hundred souls belong to each and everyone of us, is that vision still clear for you or has it blurred?

Dear member of POWER M&M, do you really know the significance of this acronym? It is to be People of Worship, Evangelism and REVIVAL! Are you really POWER? I want to be one and i believe that God can make me to be the person who carries His heartbeat for this generation. He's calling for youths who'll press on in prayer, listen to His heartbeat and obey what He says, is there any takers?

I thank God for the new members in our life group, like all of you, they're precious souls whom i love and carry in my heart. But they're the fruits of other faithful sowers while we just stand to gain as harvesters. Don't stand at the boundaries of the field and look as others sow their seeds. Roll up your sleeves and start ploughing! Start praying, start evangelising to your friends! Tired of friends who know the truth but doesn't want to accept it? Me too. But keep on praying and praying vigilantly, don't give up! Translate your passion and love for them into desperate prayers. Dont' know how to pray for them? Ask the Holy Spirit and He'll show you how and what to pray.

Don't like this post? Maybe it's because i've hit the nail? Don't stay angry or guilty after reading what i've written. Instead, think over what's been said and tell God that you'll be the willing soul to surrender and sacrifice all you've got to pray till revival hits us. I pray that those who read this will take up the challenge and want to be used by God.

Hungry for revival? Then, begin with praying and reading your bible...daily.

Be exalted O Lord among the Nations!

Will I be ready when revival hits? IS my life in line with Revival's call?

Revival, revival, revival. Just another word? Just another 'wow' factor? Just another 'excitement' of our emotions?

Not so.

Do YOU want revival? Do you REALLY want it? Do you WANT it?

My friends, be prepared. The harvest is here, the King stands in the midst of us, giving out His flyers. Will you pass them on? Will you enrol in His service.

Is never was easy, never will be, but we will choose, the narrow way.

I will choose the narrow way
Take the narrow path
Lord teach my heart to obey
You are more than enough for me
You are my eternity

Revival starts when we start praying. When we start loving our friends. Have you made God your conversation? Don'tlook for excuses! God has given us many chances the moment He allowed us to go school. It's your call my fellow labourers.
